Demand Local is excited to share our recent participation in the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD) conference held in Miami from October 10th to the 13th. NAMAD’s commitment to diversity goes beyond mere rhetoric; it’s a tangible force that drives collaboration with auto policy-makers at the local, regional, and national levels. This commitment aligns seamlessly with Demand Local’s mission to provide strategic marketing solutions that resonate with Minority and Multicultural audiences.
Erica Lindo, Senior Director of Agency Partnerships, was in attendance and took an active role in assembling the 2nd annual Women of Color Automotive Network (WOCAN) luncheon during the NAMAD event. WOCAN is a non-profit organization that seeks to attract, connect, and empower women of color in the auto industry. She described the luncheon as “Insightful, motivating and progressive!” Both the NAMAD and WOCAN events presented takeaways that emphasized the crucial role women play in the automotive landscape and the underserved nature of the growing female consumer market.
With women making up more than half of the U.S. population and influencing 85% of consumer spending, it is evident that there is an untapped market that OEMs and Dealers should be strategically influencing. Women purchase over 50% of traditional male products, including automobiles. Approximately 40% of working women in the U.S. now out-earn their husbands, marking a shift in the dynamics of household income. Women make up over 53% of the volume market share for small and compact SUVs. Women’s share of African American consumers is over 51%, the highest of all consumer groups, and over 10 points higher than the industry!
Demand Local, an expert at reaching Minority and Multicultural audiences, emphasizes the strategic importance for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Auto Dealers to target and serve these diverse demographics as part of their overall marketing strategy.
With Demand Local’s LinkOne platform, the ability to identify and engage with these audiences is heightened. LinkOne ensures precise targeting and impactful marketing efforts, providing a unique opportunity for automotive advertisers to tailor their marketing efforts for maximum impact.
